What is the Connect, Learn, and Play Program?

Our purpose is to help children develop and grow in a fun environment. TES’ Connect, Learn and Play early intervention program strives to provide a safe, developmentally-appropriate environment where children can improve their social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical skills through techniques found in The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos. In addition, parents can improve their understanding of development and how to help their children grow. This purpose will be achieved by providing 3 hours of play and structured activities led by Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Early Childhood Educators.  A key factor in this center-based program is the incorporation of parent training and involvement.

Our Therapists

Licensed Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapists, assistants and early intervention educators have specialized training in pediatric therapy and child development and are very knowledgeable regarding developmental milestones. They are also aware of how to coach and empower parents and guardians to help carryover various skills from the center-based program into their home environment.

What are the Benefits of the Center-Based Group Early Intervention Program?

Children develop and thrive socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.

Children have the opportunity to learn and play together in a small group, center-based program led by licensed pediatric therapists and educators. Therapists and teachers facilitate social interactions, turn taking, language skills, self-help, and motor skills in a fun and supportive way. Children are offered choices and the program is flexible enough to foster each child’s development and learning.

Therapists and teachers will work to:

  • Build a trusting relationship with each child
  • Provide individualized care
  • Create environments that support and encourage exploration
  • Ensure children’s safety and health
  • Develop partnerships with families
  • Observe and document children’s development in order to plan for each child and the group
  • Recognize the importance of social-emotional development
  • Appreciate cultural, family, and individual differences
  • Take advantage of every opportunity to build a foundation for lifelong learning
  • Support dual-language learners
