Our School Social Workers (SSW) are licensed professionals who have a Master Degree in social work plus additional coursework in school social work. They help bridge the gap between school, home and community. Using a wrap-around approach they promote and support students both academically as well as socially.

Our School Social Workers establish a safe and trusting environment by first building a rapport with their students by getting to know who they are, what they like and dislike and involving them in setting their goals and objectives. They use a variety of treatment methodologies to pique, engage and maintain their students’ interest and involvement in their therapy.
Together with parents and caregivers, school staff, the student, and community resources (when appropriate), our School Social Workers address the academic and social-emotional needs of the student(s). Some of these interventions may be for individual students so they can reach their individualized goals and objectives while other team approaches may be on a larger scale such as Crisis Response Teams.
